BAVARIA Shipyard tour

BAVARIA-Yachtbau consists of a 200 000 square meter shipyard with 70 000 square meter production space above the laminating hall, a carpenter´s workshop, different shop floors and its five assembly lines. Hull and deck pass from station to station on separate essembly line, just like a train on its tracks, until the final touch has been applied. Then hull and deck are celebrating their wedding and become a BAVARIA.

JOIN US FOR A DIVE INTO THE FASCINATING WORLD OF YACHT-BUILDING AND EXPERIENCE THE PERFECT SYMBIOSI OF TRADITION AND MODERN SPIRIT.

When in 1978 the first BAVARIA left our shipyard in Giebelstadt, no one could have known only a few years later BAVARIA would own one of the most modern production lines for yachts in Europe. BAVARIA was the first to use robots in yacht building and set new standards within its industry by introducing essembly lines in their production process.

INSIDE THE 200 000 SQUARE METER BAVARIA SHIPYARD IN THE 70 000 SQUARE METER SHOP FLOOR YOU WILL GET A DEEP INSIDE INTO THE PROCESSES OF EACH OF THE PRODUCTION STAGES.

Our experienced tour guides will take you on an extraordinary journey. Starting with the lamination rooms over the carpenter´s workshop to the shop floor and the five essembly lines to the test pool and the center for logistics.

We would like to point out that the tour through the workshops will take place while work is in progress. For security reasons it is compulsory to wear safety over-shoes and sturdy shoes. Safety over-shoes and safety jackets will be provided for you at the start of the tour at the reception.

Changes to the program are reserved to BAVARIA. In the event of a force majeure the event can be cancelled on short notice. Should that be the case we will of course inform all participants.
